Cette année, les Game Awards 2025 promettent du lourd, du gros pixel et du vrai spectacle ! La compétition s’annonce explosive avec Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, distribué par SEGA au Japon, qui rafle la mise avec 12 nominations, suivi de près par Death Stranding 2: On the Beach et Ghost of Yotei avec 8 nominations chacun. Sony Interactive Entertainment domine côté éditeur avec 19 nominations, devant Kepler Interactive et Microsoft/EA.

Les fans peuvent voter en ligne jusqu’au 10 décembre à 18h PST, et le grand show se tiendra le 11 décembre à Los Angeles, au Peacock Theater, à partir de 16h30 PT. Préparez vos popcorns, ça va swinguer !

Côté catégories, ça bastonne sévère : Clair Obscur et Death Stranding 2 trustent les prix de jeu de l’année, direction et narration, tandis que Ghost of Yotei se taille la part du lion sur l’audio et le design narratif. Les amateurs de jeux « foufou » ne seront pas en reste : EA Sports FC 26, Hogwarts Legacy et Farming Simulator 25, également distribués par SEGA au Japon, s’illustrent dans les catégories sports/racing et PC, tandis que Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds et Two Point Museum montrent que SEGA n’a pas dit son dernier mot côté fun. On note aussi les poids lourds comme Battlefield 6, Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World et Virtua Fighter 5, prêts à enflammer les votes.

Côté indépendant, le public pourra célébrer Blue Prince, Megabonk et surtout Clair Obscur, véritable ovni créatif de l’année. Et pour les curieux du mobile, Persona 5: The Phantom X et Sonic Rumble, deux petites pépites signées SEGA, sont là pour prouver que le pixel ne dort jamais. Les Game Awards 2025 s’annoncent donc comme un véritable arcade party géant, mélange de nostalgie et de futurisme pixelisé façon années 90.
